How to create product variations

How to create product variations

The platform allows you to create different product variations. If you have a product with different options (like color, size etc.) you can add variants. This feature is not available to all price plans.

To create a product variation visit the admin panel and click on Products from the E-shop menu. Then select your product by clicking on the pen icon.

In the Variations section click the "New variant" button. As you add the product options, a list of variants appears. Create your product variation by combining the options you want.

SKUThis is the unique code for your product. Each product has its own unique alphanumeric combo of characters that helps you organize your inventory and fulfill orders.

UPC. This is your universal product code. This option used by resellers and is also helpful in tracking your inventory.

Compare to price. This is the original price for a product variant that’s on sale.

For example if you 're selling your product for 30€ and it's typically 40€ you would set 40€ as the compare to price.

Cart weight. If your product variant requires shipping enter the cart weight.

Price. This is the price you would like to sell your product to your customers. You are advised to add prices exclusive of Tax since Taxes are calculated dynamically based on the Tax Category each product belongs to. To find out more about Taxes and how do they work visit our detailed documentation about Taxes.

Multiple Prices. Set the item price for each price list you’ve created in the system.

Stock. This is the number of items you have in stock. You can limit the stock if your product variant is limited.
Max purchasable quantity. Set a maximum number of items that a customer can purchase in a single order. This is useful for managing inventory and preventing bulk buying of limited stock items.
Availability Rules. Availability rules determine how and when products are available for purchase based on various criteria, such as stock levels, location, or time-based conditions.
Backorder Enabled. Enabling backorders allows customers to place orders for items that are currently out of stock, with the understanding that the items will be shipped once they become available.
Preorder Enabled. Preordering allows customers to place orders for products that are not yet available but will be in the future. This feature helps gauge interest and secure sales before the product is officially in stock.
Once done, you will be redirected to the edit screen where you can add an image to best display your product variant by clicking the + button. The product image will be shown to the respective location of your product page according to the product template you have previously selected from your Theme Settings.
