Set up local pickup

In addition to regular shipping, you can set up a local pickup. Local pickup is a great convenience for customers who want to avoid shipping fees when they have a store nearby and they can stop by your location to pick up their orders. 

If only this method is enabled, your customers will not be charged any shipping costs.

To set up local pickup go to Settings > Shipping methods from your Reactive admin.

Click the "Create" button at the top of your screen. 

You will be prompted to select a shipping method type. Choose either Default Method or ACS by clicking on Set up next to your preferred option.

Select Local pickup by clicking the add new button. 

Title. Choose a title for your method. This will be shown to your customers at the checkout as the name of the shipping method. For example, In-store pickup. 

Description. Add a short description for your shipping method. This will be shown to your customers at the checkout as the description of the shipping method. Be sure to include all the instructions that they'll need to have a quick and successful pickup.

For example, you can add your business hours when you allow for pickups or anything else you feel is important for customers to know about this shipping option.

Click the save button at the top of your screen to create or update the shipping method.
