You can offer your customers a percentage (10% off), fixed value (€5 off), free shipping, and a combination (a discount plus free shipping) on products and categories. Coupons are unique codes that customers can enter at checkout and get a discount on their purchase. A promo code can be a combination of letters and/or numbers or a word. You can use your own codes or tell Reactive to generate them for you.
You can also specify the number of times a code can be used, a minimum order amount before the code can be used, the customers for who the code is valid, and to which products or categories the discount can be applied.
How discount coupons work
A discount coupon is basically a code that a customer can enter at checkout and get a discount on their order.
If you create at least one coupon and it's active, the coupon field will appear on the cart page. Your customers can click on Redeem your coupon link to access it:
Сustomers can apply multiple coupons per order. When a coupon is applied at the checkout, the discount amount is deducted from the order subtotal — a total cost of all items in the cart excluding taxes and shipping.
Once you remove or deactivate all discount coupons in your store so there are no active discount coupons that customers can use, the coupon field will automatically disappear from your store.
You can create codes for monetary (€5 off) or percentage (10% off) discounts, free shipping and a combination of the two — a discount (fixed value or percentage) plus free shipping. A discount code is a combination of letters and/or numbers or a word. You can use your own codes or get Reactive to generate them for you.
How to send coupons
You can send coupons to customers in different ways:
Creating discount coupons
You can create discount codes for:
a fixed value discount (e.g. €5 off),
a percentage discount (e.g. 10% off),
a free shipping discount,
a fixed value / percentage discount + free shipping.
To create a new discount coupon:
1. Go to E-shop > Coupons from the sidebar menu of your online store.
2. Click the "+ Create" button at the top right of your screen.
3. Enter a Name for your coupon.
The coupon name displays only in the admin. Customers don't see it. To share a discount with customers, send them the coupon code.
4. To share a discount with customers, send them the coupon code.
5. You can click on the generate button and Reactive will generate a random code for you. Alternatively, you can add your own. You can use any combination of letters/numbers or type a word, e.g. 'FlashSale'. The code is what customers should enter at the checkout to get the discount.
6. Select the Discount type: discount, free shipping or discount + free shipping.
When a customer uses a free shipping coupon, they get free shipping for all items in the cart even if the coupon is limited to certain products.
7. Enter the discount Value and choose between a percentage or a monetary
8. Choose the day from which the coupon should be active and when the coupon should expire.
The coupons are activated at 00:00:00 and deactivated at 23:59:59 in the time zone specified in your admin, Settings > General, Timezone section.
For example, if you choose the period December 5 - December 10 for a discount coupon, customers will be able to apply the coupon to their orders starting from 00:00:00 of the 5th December till 23:59:59 of the 10th December in your store's time zone.
In case you want to create a coupon that is active for one day only, select the same start and end days.
9. You have the option to activate or de-activate a coupon. To do that click on the checkbox that says active. If you want to publish your new coupon this option has to be selected.
10. Click Submit to save your changes and start editing your coupon rules

Categories - Click on the categories of products you would like your coupon to be applied to. In that case, every product assigned to this category will be added to the list of valid discounted products for that coupon.
